The June rewards distribution has been posted here.

INDEX Valuation

INDEX rewards are first estimated in USD, and then converted to its equivalent INDEX quantity.
The 20 day rolling average value of INDEX is used to calculate INDEX distribution quantity.
The 20 day rolling average as of July 7th is calculated as $20.25 per INDEX here.

INDEX closing price data from Coingecko is used to populate the spreadsheet above.

Claiming Rewards

This month’s reward distribution will be done via disperse.app. This is a gas efficient token or ETH distributor contract written by Yearn’s banteg. INDEX tokens will deposited to contributor’s wallets directly.

Point me to the relevant post if I missed it, but was there a discussion of claim vs. distribute, as ‘claim’ can have some pretty solid tax advantages for US contributors with a low time preference?

Hey Mel, there was no public discussion regarding that. It was a decision made by TC to save on engineering costs.

TC has the power to choose to distribute contributor rewards however it wants, but if the tax disadvantages are significant, contributors can make the case to TC to go back to the old system/change to a new distribution process.
