The sCoop - Contributor Newsletter - 2021.11.22 Monday

Fresh Owlpha, curated daily. *This is @HOWweDAO )

Some standard Monday fare with the Weekly and bi-weekly-Product-WG meetings on the day. Tomorrow, on the other wing, is looking a bit more jammed than usual with Institutional Business, Analytics, Wizardry, F.Nest, TOC, and Wizardry all holding their open meetings. Only a touch of overlap on Analytics<>F.Nest, so if you’re making the rounds plan accordingly.

A big week in Index Coop elections with the Meta-Governance Committee (MGC) elections currently live on snapshot, and Index Council selection starting on Wednesday following the Leadership Forum. Be sure to get your research done, questions in, and voting completed ahead of deadlines given the short week for US-based Owls.

Owls and Airwaves

Weekly Stand Up (39 attendees) slides
At the top and bottom of the hour we heard from @oneski22 @yuan-han-li and @sixtykeys who are vying for the two open MGC spots open this term. The MGC votes on meta-governance proposals that fail to reach quorum, in an effort to be good partners in the DeFi ecosystem. Please vote here.

Sometimes I wonder if @jdcook ever gets tired of reporting that revenue is up w/w; doubtful as IC earned $16,619 on the week, or $864,188 annualized. @Lavi noted that DG1 participation was better than ever last week; likely in response to the new quorum requirements. We have voting on a housekeeping IIP live along with the MGC election in snapshot; Index Council voting will begin on Wednesday following the Leadership Forum; keep an eye on your email in the coming days for access to the voting platform.

@jujube highlighted the success of the WIC speed-networking event and I can confirm that this format is really great for getting a sense of our fellow Owls in a large and time-constrained DAO; no WIC meeting this week in light of some unlucky turkeys over in the US. @0x_Dev teased a DWG launch this week; otherwise more insight in the product launch roadmap was requested as priorities have been shifting faster than comms of late.

@Abel noted the onboarding of @alerex, work on the LDI and GMI negotiations, and highlighted TTI as an example of good interfacing by methodologists. @afromac noted the raising of MATICs LTV on Aave paving the way for a 2x product and gave a shout to @Matthew_Graham for paving the way toward DPI leverage; EWG, not to disappoint, highlighted that DPI deposited on Aave now earns yield in AAVE tokens.

@Mringz noted that incentives on Beta and Vesper are here. @fallow8 noted some tier-1 listings in the works and the role that some large venture partners played in making those introductions; IBWG will be meeting tomorrow as scheduled. @MrMadila hinted at some forthcoming incentives for DATA on Polygon and noted that institutional demand for stable-yield seems to be on-par with BTC and ETH; otherwise be sure to drop any planned event attendance in notion to dramatically increase your gm-ability.

@pujimak_in announced a new team forming in Japan and APAC are otherwise investigating a BSC strategy/looking for feedback. Otherwise, @mrvls_brkfst gave a huge shout to @Tudou for garnering over 25k views on a translated post by @Kiba.

A Layered Product Strategy

Product WG (11 attendees) notion
A short meeting by PWG standards, but dense as the product pipeline is as full as ever. ETH2x-FLI and MATIC2x-FLI on Polygon are expected to go to DG2 this week; JPG has yet to clear the high-hurdle on liquidity challenges. There was some discussion around capping the supply of JPG with ETH2x-FLI (mainnet) challenges giving some relative insight.

@overanalyser noted that the developing Liquidity Pod is implementing the RAPID decision-making framework to put-forth liquidity recommendations with the first example already up on the forum for INDEX:ETH. There appears to be broad consensus that delegated authority is preferable the relatively ad-hoc approach that has been been utilized so far.
