We’re consolidating all Nest & Pod communications to @IndexCoopDAO—this means Growth’s, Product’s, and Gov’s individual Twitters will cease to function. The main account, @IndexCoop, will remain more public-facing.

New Series Alert: Female Founders AMA on Twitter Spaces

Female Founders AMA: Maggie Love by Women + NB in Index (24 attendees) replay

Today, Women +NB in Index held their first Female Founders AMA with Maggie Love of SheFi and W3BCLOUD. These Twitter Spaces will focus on female founders in the DeFi and web3 space. The conversations will include their stories, projects they’re working on, and (of course) some general vibing.

Maggie’s company W3BCLOUD builds compute and storage layers for web3. SheFi is aimed at onboarding more women to web3 through a crypto/DeFi education initiative. Hosted by @Lfeld and @anay, this hour-long space included a rundown of W3BCLOUD and SheFi’s innovative work, some insight into the challenges and successes that led Maggie to her current position, and advice about breaking into the web3/DeFi space and supporting those trying to, relevant to both crypto/web3/DeFi beginners and those tried and true.

Some key takeaways included:

  • Fight your impostor syndrome. Think “Why not me?” instead of “Why me?” because you’re in the place you are for a reason.
  • Trust your intuition. One of the hardest parts of finding your path in web3 is forcing yourself to recognize the massive opportunities right in front of you, potentially risky as they may be. Be curious and listen to that curiosity—it’s there for a reason.
  • Look for mentors. SheFi was founded to help women new to DeFi grow together, and the power of a team is ineffable. Make use of your connections and your connections’ connections.
  • Help where you can. Early in the space, it’s important to demonstrate your willingness to contribute even if this includes picking up tasks you might not’ve normally picked up.

Wednesday Meetings: (UTC/1-hr, UON)
1700 - Business Development Strategy Brainstorm
1800 - Leadership Forum

Daily Owlpha: “Reminder: the atomic unit of community is relationships. It doesn’t matter what platform you use. If you’re helping people build relationships with each other, you’re building community.” - @DavidSpinks
