Gaining Altitude

Weekly Stand-Up (46 attendees) slides

After wishing us all a ‘gm, wherever you are’, @jdcook informed us that every product had a positive net-dollar-flow last week, but noted that ETH2x-FLI is wagging the dog a bit in terms of performance and revenue in any given week. GovOps, despite being down an Owl (tell Cersei, it was me), managed to shepherd 9-IIPs and an Index Council election to success; a new record for most INDEX participating in a vote was also set at ~580k on IIP-113. @fallow8 (not
wurm) questioned the sustainability of the current process with some delegated decision-making expected around some of the current voting process.

Product noted that the MVI and DPI rebalances over the past weekend were successful. At @MrMadila’s request, the benefits of leverage on Polygon were discussed, and include sub-one-cent gas for exchange issuance and 4-hour rebalances (as opposed to 24- on mainnet). Overall, material improvements to the trading experience; tell all your degen friends.

@caf reminded us that $50 in ETH can be had by buying products on Dharma, and @LemonadeAlpha will be doing a fireside chat over on the Dharma discord, with details to follow. It’s also confirmed that Index Coop will be sponsoring a booth at Permissionless in May. The DWG is looking to open up discussion around brand; keep those big Owl eyes on discord for a new discussion channel.

@mrvls_brkfst noted that @indexcoopJP is now live so go give a follow. BDWG, not to be outdone, launched @CoopGrowth for partnership and integration opportunities; not mentioned on the call, but tagging this account may be a good way to bring opportunities to the attention of @Mringz and @BigSky7 (looking at our resident twitter-dwellers @TheYoungCrews). @Vanita noted that APAC WG has been focused on education and are looking to propose partnering with a marketing agency.

@Pepperoni_Joe noted that a post is expected shortly covering compensation and community ownership and a People Nest kickoff call will be held on 8 December; please check calendar for details. @jujube noted that 1kx has tapped the WIC WG to participate in a no-code hackathon with tokenomics cited as an example problem-set. F.Nest is planning to break apart reporting into a series of more digestible and frequent reports and otherwise got the Ops account on Polygon up this past week; a big shout all around to the F.Nest contributors for the heavy lift recently.

The Pipeline

Product WG (17 attendees) slides

JPG has made progress on the liquidity-front by expanding the token inclusion criteria to include some DAOs that do NFT things; an updated PRD is expected soonish. @DocHabanero got granular on the composite product pipeline; the takeaway being that GMI is at the head of the line with LDI not far behind.

@afromac walked through some of the automated strategies that the AI Pod is looking to act on, with a DPI Rotator Index using a DPI/ETH momentum strategy. The overarching question being posed, “What can we build with what we have?” Apparently, quite a lot, with a multi-year roadmap in the works.

Daily Owlpha: BTC maximalism will not be tolerated; ETH maximalism is just good sense. - @overanalyser, kind of (heavily redacted from ~7 minute speech, don’t fight me, lol)
