Institutional Business WG (16 attendees) notion
While @fallow8 has been heavily engaged in methodologist negotiations, and @Metfanmike is making his way over to London for Token 2049, the show went on over at IBWG. We kicked-off with some discussion around getting DPI listed with a major custodian, and getting a legal opinion on DPI’s security-status.
@ajay55 took us through the partnership plan for some of the CEX trading platforms in terms of education and articles that can be leveraged to provide a valuable onboarding funnel to our products. @Eric_Tomaszewski is progressing with family office partnerships, and some off-chain index strategies were discussed.
@JosephKnecht floated the idea of indexes pegged to a venture capital fund’s holdings, perhaps identifying an interesting partnership route for VC’s to tokenize their funds; with apparent consensus that the idea is worth developing, @fallow8 is planning to follow-up with IC venture partners to gauge interest.
Keep an eye out for the forthcoming IBWG request for Q4 funding.
Wizardry (19 attendees) slides | notion | smart contract | web2 | web3
In the most well-attended Wizardry call to date, @blockdev and @edwardk took aspiring engineers and tech-savvy contributors through the notion board and outlined the contribution process. Wizardry guides Owls that have some web2 or programming experience through a process that lowers the bar to immediate contribution and paves a path to contribution within the Engineering Working Group.
